I decided that I was going to have to hop out of the vehicle, and spew on the side. Unfortunately, I came to an area populated with people! The looming tents in my peripheral vision told me that I had stumbled across a circus of some sort! I couldn't puke in a populated area like this! I had to get inside, and make it to the washroom! I walked to the front of the tent, and found a surprise! The ticket booth clerk was a familiar face, it was James! I couldn't believe it, when did he get a job at the circus? I waved at James, as he quickly took notice of me. He shot me a goofy grin, as he began hopping up and down.
I ran up to him, as James began to hop faster and faster. I had never seen James so full of energy, he seems more like a rabbit than a person! "Hey, James! How's it going?" James began to jive back and forth on, as he continued to grin at me. "It's going great, buddy! I love life, I love everything! And I miss my good ol' pal Seth! Here, have a free ticket on me!" I stepped back, something was definitely off with James. He's never this full of energy, and he's never acted like this before. "James, you alright? You seem a little jumpy today." He shook his head violently up and down, "I feel great, buddy! We'll definitely have to hang out after I'm done!" He handed me a ticket, "Feel free to go in, Seth!" Just then, my stomach began to churn again.
Whatever was wrong with James was going to have to wait, I was about to blow chunks! "Thanks for the ticket!" I exclaimed, as I grabbed it from James' hand and ran inside. I looked around and found that the washroom was nowhere in sight! I ran off towards the midway, as I clenched at my gut. This was going to be a photo finish, I was about to puke in public! People would take pictures of me, this was definitely going on Facebook! After running around the circus for a while, I eventually realized I couldn't hold it much longer. I noticed that there was a cage with various Kangaroos inside it. If I upchucked there while nobody was looking, I'd be home-free! I ran over the enclosure, and looked about.
Thankfully, there wasn't a single person in sight. I felt the pressure build, as I prepare to spew inside the cage. It was weird, but I had no other options open to me! Right before I could vomit, I felt someone tap me on the shoulder. I turned to find myself staring at a young purple-haired woman holding a fluffy white rabbit. The rabbit was struggling to get out of her gloved hands, as she held it tightly. She wore an extravagant red coat, and looked to be a magician's assistant of some sort. "Hello there! Something wrong?" When she spoke, I felt my nausea begin to fade. My stomach sickness began to vanish, as the woman talked to me. This wasn't normal, this was just plain weird! "Hello. My name is Seth. Can I help you?"
The rabbit's ears perked up, as it spotted me. It began to struggle even more, as it attempted to break free from Mana's grasp. However, the young lady held the struggling rabbit so tight that escape from her was impossible. "I'm Mana, and this is my pet rabbit. He's going to be staying at this circus for a month, at which point he's going home. He just doesn't have the stomach for the circus I'm afraid." Her mentioning stomachs reminded me of my disappearing nausea. With moments, my sickness was gone! It must've been nothing if it just faded away like this, yet I still found it to be strange. Why would my sickness conveniently fade once meeting this girl?
I chalked it up as nothing more than a coincidence, as Mana glared at me. "So, why are you hanging out alone near the kangaroo cage?" I sighed, as I looked out the kangaroo cage. "Well, I felt noxious earlier, so I decided to just hang here. It's been weird since I got here! I can't believe James was acting so weird today! Not to mention the fact that he was working the ticket booth!" Mana put her hand on my shoulder, as I turned to face her. She shook her head, "I think you're mistaken. No one named James works the ticket booth, that's Mr. Hops!" I frowned as I looked at her, "Um... Are you alright? That sounds more like a rabbit's name, then a person's name!"
She chuckled in response, "You're the weird one! This rabbit is the one named James, not the ticket booth guy!" I scoffed as I turned to her, "What are you talking about? That's James, I recognize him! He may be different, but I know that's him! Look, he even recognized me! Who are you trying to kid?!" The rabbit continues to struggle in Mana's grasp. "Allow me to tell you the truth. James and this rabbit have swapped bodies. I willed this happen to as a punishment, for him writing his Circus Act stories and embarrassing my circus. He will be stuck this way for a whole month." I looked at her shocked, was what she was saying true? James has swapped bodies before, but never with a rabbit!
"Prove it! Make me switch with something!" She nodded, as she moved her hand towards my forehead. She gave me a simple poke, that somehow caused me to close my eyes. My eyelids wouldn't budge, I couldn't see anything at all. I opened my eyes, to the sight of a world with dimmed colors. Every color seemed wrong, as if someone had tampered with my eyesight. I couldn't feel my clothing at all, instead all I felt was a bizarre blanket of hair that seemed to encompass every part of me. My hands were clumped together, to the point where I couldn't budge individual fingers. My fingers felt jagged and pointy, and my legs felt weird. My legs felt massive, as if someone had stretched them out to clown-like proportions! A massive legion of bizarre smells circulated through my nostrils, as my ears picked up sounds that I shouldn't normally hear.
My back was hunched over in a rather awkward position, as I soon found that my face had been pushed out in front of me. I took a few hops on my massive clown feet, and notice something was dragging behind me. It felt massive, and as if it was attached to me. That's when I took notice of something, Mana was standing over to the side with another me! This version of me was hunched over, and hopping around. It was almost just like me. Wait a minute, it couldn't be! I looked down at myself, the hair I spotted earlier looked more like fur! I hopped over to a nearby water dish in the middle of the cage. Staring back at me was a kangaroo!
Clad in mangy fur, with a long and bulky tail, two large pointed ears, big massive feet, and complete with a pouch! That's when I remembered something from biology class, only female kangaroos have pouches! I was too busy noticing all these other changes, that I failed to notice that there was nothing between my legs! I had become a female kangaroo! What that woman had said was true, she can switch the minds of people and animals! The scents of the animals and people around me drove me mad, I turned to Mana as she smirked and stuck her tongue. "Don't worry, it's only temporary! You'll be back to normal in a couple of days!" She exclaimed, as she patted the rabbit on the head. I now truly believe that the rabbit was James, Mana was telling the truth!
If she could swap me with a kangaroo, then she could surely turn James into a rabbit! Poor James, he has to stay a rabbit longer than I have to stay as a kangaroo! The rabbit continued to struggle, as he finally managed to break free from Mana's grasp. I hopped over to the front of the cage, as my long tail dragged against the dirt of the cage's floor. James hopped as fast as his little rabbit legs could carry him, and bounded through the opening in the cage bars. Why was this little rabbit running towards me? The tiny bunny ran up to me, and began pawing at my pouch.
Did he want me to put him in my pouch? I'm not his mommy kangaroo! Then again, he has a been through a lot and I feel terrible for him. I reached my paws down and gripped the rabbit, as I pulled him closer to me. I dropped him into my open pouch, as he squirmed about. The rabbit kicked inside my pouch, nearly knocking me over in the process. After a few minutes of struggling, the rabbit poked his head out from my pouch. Mana laughed a considerable amount, as she stared at our strange symbiosis. "That is hilarious! Well, I guess that's not hurting anything too much! We have been too strict to a rabbit, he does deserve a little bit off of a day off from all his repeat showings. Fine, I'll let him hang out with you for today! However, I'll need him back soon. I need him for last thing before I change him back..."
Mana tipped her hat, as she walked off while giggling. I looked down at the little rabbit James, as he curiously looked up at me. I wondered what to do now, until I noticed my body outside the cage. He was still hopping about and leaping, as if he was still a kangaroo. I hopped across the cage floor, as I slowly got used to the movement of my large legs. The former kangaroo noticed me approaching him and leapt off. I let out a confused animalistic noise, as the beast ran off in my body. The rabbit beat his paws against the back of my pouch, as I angrily looked down at him. The uncomfortable sensation made me want to smack James with my paw, until I noticed him point to something. His paw was outstretched to the left of me, as I noticed a strange amulet lying just out of reach.
I leapt over to it, as I bounded quickly towards it using my giant feet. Just before I could reach it, a hand garbed in a white glove pulled it out of our reach! The gloved hand pulled back with the amulet clutched tightly, as I gazed up a sharp-dressed man. He wore a fancy black and white suit, and bore a strong resemblance to the magician. "I see Mana has taken pity on the young rabbit. Finally, she is acting more like a human! Nonetheless, I can't allow you to have this amulet. It's very important, and I can't believe that I left it over here!" James and I stared open mouthed, as the magician strutted away with the amulet.
We could've picked up some real swag as a souvenir, if only we had been quicker! James hung his head in shame, as I frowned. Poor little rabbit, he's had a tough time at this circus. I reached my paw down, and pat him gently on his fur head. He squirmed about, as my paw pads brushed against his furry head. Normally, this kind of situation would make me sick to my stomach, yet I felt something different. I felt like I now possessed a motherly attitude, just like the body I was now in! I guess mothers have it worse in times of stomach illness than that of someone like me.
Suddenly, I heard the tromping of heavy boots with the help of my enhanced hearing. The only kind of people who would be wearing heavy boots would be circus workers! I can't let them see James and take him away from me, we're in this weird situation together! I covered up the rabbit with my paws, as I heard the tromping of boots come closer. I watched, as two men carrying animal feeding supplies showed up. It was supper time! I had been so caught up in this weird conundrum that I had forgotten all about food! It's bizarre, considering I was just about to puke my guts out a couple of minutes ago! I licked at my lips, as I twitched my paws excitedly. I was craving some food, after all a mother needs her nourishment!
New Circus Act! Yay! Don't worry commissioners, this didn't take any time from me working on your commissions. I've had this finished for about a week, but just kept forgetting about it. Slightly inspired by a comic that was drawn by Made for If you want to be in a new Circus Act just ask me. However, there's some rules for this:
1. Only 1 Circus Act per person. I can't put you in every single Circus Act story. If I put you in another one, than it's my own decision.
2. You aren't allowed to choose a special animal to swap with. Please give me a list of preferred animals, and I'll choose one at random. This is because I feel that it turns it into more of a request and I don't do requests.
3. Please don't ask if your friends can be in the story. Your friends can ask to be in their own story, but I'm not going to put a group of your friends in one story.
4. Be respectful of me. If you want me to put you in a Circus Act story, please use manners.
May I please?
Is this list OK?
