"WATCH OUT!"
-Samurai Jack theme song
So yeah, I caught the season 5 premiere of Samurai Jack a few days ago. It's nice to see this show return! Not only has it come back, but it's not on Adult Swim and is a much more adult show overall. For those of you don't know what Samurai Jack is, it's show about a nameless samurai (who is actually a ronin, not a samurai) who was sent thousands of years into the future by an evil demon. Jack must now vanquish said demon in order to return home and drive the evil away from his timeline as well. In season 5, however, things have gotten rough for Jack. Jack has become ageless after Aku destroyed all of the time portals, and now five decades have passed with Jack still unable to defeat Aku or return home. He's lost his sword, his honor, and most of his allies to the ages.
Now, Jack stands up once more in order to defeat both Aku and his forces. Honestly, this season 5 premiere was amazing! It had good action, good characters, a fun robot assassin for Jack to do battle against, and an interesting setup for future episodes. The animation is somehow even better than it had been previously and the show is more mature, while still keeping the humor and charm of the original show. It feels like a continuation and like a natural evolution for the series. You can watch episode 52 and then go into episode 53 and still get that same feeling of awesomeness. Few continuations (aside from maybe X-Files and Digimon Adventure Tri) have felt as amazing as the source material. I feel like more shows should get continuations like this.
This episode had everything I could want from a Samurai Jack continuation, to the point of being near perfection! Though I enjoyed the show, I did have a few problems with it (Though they are mostly nitpicks) For one thing, I didn't like how those blue alien people in the intro talked by materializing words through their antennae. It felt like an artificial way to put words into one of Samurai Jack's famous silent moments, and it just ended up feeling pointless. I also didn't like how Aku barely showed up, though I guess they are saving him for later episodes which is understandable. And one big problem (and this is down to personal opinion) I feel as though 2-3 episodes should have been aired for this premiere instead of just one. I feel like this should've been a more tremendously large event, and having an extra episode or two would've made the event more momentous. And plus, I don't want to wait until next week.
But yeah, those are just all nitpicks. I'm a monkey, picking nits is what I do! Seriously though, this was a long overdue continuation and I wholeheartedly enjoyed it. It was nice to see Gennedy's work being aimed for older audiences for once, and it was definitely an entertaining experience. Like I said, this episode is near perfection in what it set out to accomplish. I have a feel Sam Jack will bring back the action cartoon and help kickstart a flood of better animated shows for kids. Especially with Rick & Morty going on hiatus, this seems like a good time for Adult Swim to bring in new blood to fill the void. Anyways, that was my two cents on it. Go, watch this show and support the creators! We need more shows like this on television. It's dark, violent, mature, but manages to capture the feeling of the original so well. That's why I give Samurai Jack a SHAPESHIFTING MASTER OF EVIL/10. The highest rating one can give!

Thanks for the birthday wishes!
Yeah forgot to put out a journal saying this, but yesterday was my birthday. I'm 33 now, freaking old lol But generally my birthday was a good time, I got some good gifts from the fam, I got a massage and did pretty good at work. Moreover, some of my artist friends drew me some amazing gift art as you can see on my gallery. So yeah wanted to thank everyone for the awesome art, and the birthday thank yous! I had never received so many birthday wishes before on so many platforms all at once before. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Update on Comms!
Hey all, should HOPEFULLY be open for comms on my birthday, April 15th. So wanted to let you know about changes: The big one is that I'm going to be upping the word count CONSIDERABLY. The prices remain the same for now, don't worry. I just felt that charging 40 bucks CAD for 1000-1500 words is a bit excessive. So now the smallest story size (the 40 buck one) now goes from 2000-3000 words! Medium is 3000-4000, large is 4000 to 5000, and extra large ranges between 5000 and 8000+. Because of the higher word counts though, stories will take longer to make so will only up like 2-3 slots to start out with. Again I want to give people a fair price for these, I will update the prices accordingly as I go along. Also want to make a list of characters, shows, or things that I'm not comfortable with writing, make a more detailed list. Moreso just want to make my comfort zone a bit more clear. So for example, no body-swapping Jam with black characters (just to avoid any negative racial
Introducing: TSF Infinity!
Okay, so for April Fools I was going to do this whole announcement thing, announcing this big awesome ongoing crowdfunding thing on Patreon, Gumroad and other places. But then I thought "Wow, that's really shitty cuz the idea sounds super awesome and it legit sucks no one's every thought of it before". So instead of it being a prank, I'm putting forward this hypothetical project that I may and PROBABLY will do in the future. The idea is TSFInfinity! It's like TSFSingularity, a Patreon/Gumroad/Pixiv page where the people who pay or subscribe help pay for the content. The money that goes into Singularity is used for comms, usually voted on by the community. Unfortunately, Singularity has A LOT of issues including ideas that just don't work sometimes, occasional plagiarism, and the fact it's ONLY ARTISTS who are commissioned. What about writers, animators, game developers? Why create ONLY ONE kind of content and limit the scope of what you can create? That's where TSFInfinity comes
My fondest Dragon Ball memory
So, recently Akira Toriyama (The creator of Dr. Slump, Dragon Ball, and Sand Land) died of a hematoma. I've always been a big Dragon Ball fan, and dug games where he's done the character designs (like Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger). So honestly, it sucks we lost the guy as he was amazing! Thought I'd share one fond memory I had of the series as it does correlate with the kind of content I put out! So, back when I was about 8-10 years old, DBZ was airing on Canadian television. For those who don't know, the Canadian dub was basically an extended version of the Ocean dub as our dub kept most of that dub's actors throughout it. Regardless, I got to the Ginyu saga and was having a grand old time... Until Ginyu gouged himself in the chest and stole Goku's body. At that point, I had enjoyed the occasional body-swap when it popped up in my viewing experience but this legitimately freaked me out! Yeah, you heard that right, I was AFRAID of a body-swap! Over time though, the rest of the
