I've always been the kind of person who has his heads in the clouds. I fantasize about what I could be rather than what I am and one of those fantasies is the idea of being an ape or monkey. I've always liked the similarities of an ape to a human. Not only that, but I've always found their bodies to be superior. They were larger, bulkier, had four hands, a coat of mangy  fur and very flexible limbs. A human has limits, but an ape always appeared to have less limits than a human. For that reason, my interest in apes always drove me towards the film: Jungle Book. Specifically, I enjoyed King Louie the most. No responsibilities, hundreds of monkey minions to wait on his every desire, and he even gets to scratch himself and pick his own nose and sit on his throne while he does nothing! That orangutan was a pudgy fat layabout and most of all he wanted one thing: To be human. Which is ironic, considering I want to be an ape. That very day would be the day that my dream is realized. It all happened on a blissful summer evening.

I had found my old copy of Jungle Book in the attic and was going to watch it that very night. I not only found the DVD, but a weird toy mirror. It was called "The Jungle Book Magic Mirror" and the back of the mirror said to make sure to look in the mirror while watching the movie. I'm assuming it just showed random images while viewing the film, probably something very harmless. I shrugged my shoulders and decided to use the mirror while watching the movie. After all, what harm could it do? I popped in the DVD and then sat on the sofa. I started up the movie and saw that classic opening scene, which immediately reignited my nostalgia. The scenes were so memorable and engraved within my conscious. As I watched, I looked at the mirror. To my surprise, I found that the mirror could do some amazing things! I found that when I looked at the mirror while watching, it would replace the character in the movie an animated version of me! Sure, it was still that character's general mannerisms, but both the voice and body belonged to me! Speaking of which, whenever I did the mirror trick I'd find that the movie would superimpose the character onto my as well. When I watched the scene that introduced Shere Kahn, I found that I now possessed the tiger's appearance as he possessed mine! Looking back in the mirror was his big fluffy tiger face.

I still felt like myself, but I looked and sounded just like the real thing. The mirror seemed to be able to produce illusions, which made me instantly think of something fun I could do with it! I fast-forwarded to the scene that introduced King Louie. I immediately held the mirror up to my face as the scene played and soon found that I now possessed the appearance of King Louie! I looked at the TV screen and likewise found that King Louie possessed my human form! I was now a fat ape, or that's what I thought at first. Sadly, it was only an illusion. I was still a human, I just looked Louie and had his voice. Nothing more and nothing less. I hung my head in shame, lowering the mirror in the process. My appearance returned to normal as I sulked. However, my disappointment soon disappeared as I heard a familiar voice shout, "Something wrong there?" I turned and found something odd, King Louie himself was looking out at me from the TV screen. "K-King Louie?! You're real?!" The ape nodded. "Yep and I see you want to be like me and I want to be like you! So, how about we make both our dreams come true by swapping bodies?" I looked at him with my eyes wide-open. "Wait, a body-swap? That's impossible!"

The ape shook his head. "It is completely possible! Here, come with me and I'll show you." The ape reached his hairy forwards and somehow managed to move his hand through the screen and into the real-world. Using his hairy arm, he firmly grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me forwards. I gripped the hand-mirror tightly has pulled me towards the screen. He chuckled as he pulled me into the TV, my body flailing around as he did so. My vision was soon covered with TV static as I found myself unable to see. The static eventually cleared and found myself in a familiar clearing. I looked around and found several staring and smiling at me. "Like what you see, man? This can all be yours." I turned to find King Louie himself sitting in a stone throne in front of me. I looked the ape dead in the eyes and nodded. "Y-Yes. I would love to be you. I've always watched this film since I was a kid and enjoyed your antics." The ape looked at me confusingly and scratched himself. "Film? Oh, you mean one of those moving picture things I've heard about. I hear tell a film was modeled after this jungle, maybe that's what you were watching." Wait, so this was an alternate universe that somehow inspire the Jungle Book? This day just keeps getting weirder and weirder! "Alright, we'll swap bodies. Just a warning: This is permanent. If you don't want to be a swinger and cool-cat for the rest of your life, I suggest you back out now."

The idea of being an ape for life didn't bother me too much. I had always admired King Louie's flabby body and hairy arms and now I was going to be my idol. "I'm okay with that." The ape smirked and leapt off his throne. His long arms wiggled about as he walked towards me while grinning like a silly ape. The ape had something clenched in his right hand. He opened his hairy wrinkly palm and held out what appeared to be a black marker. "Think we could get this in writing before we progress?" I shrugged and took the marker from him. "Alright, but where do I sign? You don't exactly have any paper around here?" The ape shook his head. "Silly man, we ain't gonna use paper! We'll use our own foreheads." I looked at the ape confusingly, but agreed to do so nonetheless. "First-off, write my name on your forehead and then I'll write mine on yours." I nodded and took the marker. I wrote my name on his forehead and he wrote his name on mine. "Okay, what now?" I asked as King Louie reached out his palms. "Hand me that hand-mirror and I'll show you." I handed him the mirror, he took it and looked at the mirror. "Now, let me say the magic word: Shoobie-do!" He put the mirror on the ground and suddenly, it grew into a large full-body mirror.

I walked over to the mirror that King Louie was standing in front of. Once we both glanced in the mirror, we once again looked like each other. "Isn't this the same as I before? How is this a body-swap?" I asked using King Louie's voice. "Don't worry, my silly ape friend. We'll swap bodies, but we have to trick the magic mirror first. You see, I had our names written on our foreheads to further confuse the mirror. Once we act like other in the mirror, the mirror will get confused and swap our bodies for real. At that point, we have to break the mirror to finalize the changes." I wasn't exactly a superstitious type, so I wasn't too worried about getting bad luck from smashing the mirror. After we stood in the mirror, we started to mimic each other. I acted like a silly ape as King Louie did his best to stand on two legs and act like a human. In time, the magic of the mirror started to work. I felt less like myself with each passing second. I could feel the absence of clothes, the feeling of nudity starting to creep in. The fabric of my clothes felt more like actual fur, as my physical being changed to match my outwards appearance. I felt shorter and found that my face was much more wrinkly and had a muzzle.

This illusion was soon becoming a reality, as I found that my arms were much longer than they previously had been. Heck, even my butt was itchy! I reached my wrinkly ape-paw around to backside and scratched my behind, not being embarrassed by doing it in the slightest. I found that my body was much pudgier and that it was more difficult to walk on two legs than before. I also possessed the amazing vocal cords of the late great Louis Prima, the original voice actor of King Louie. I hummed to myself with my amazing voice as I took in the amazingness of my new form. I matted my new mangy red fur as I lifted my arm. I sniffed my new armpit and found that I indeed smelled like an ape! Every inch of my body itched, my new fur-coat was covered with fleas and bugs. Truly, an ape is the ultimate slob.

I turned over to King Louie who now was now completely a human. He admired his human form and flexed his new muscles in the mirror. I stood there like the silly ape I was and picked my nose as Louie matted his new human hair. I admired new and much more flexible hand-like feet as Louie looked down at me and smiled. "Thanks! I thought the key to becoming human was to attain man's red fire, but now thanks to you I managed to find another way. I feel like a whole new swinger!" I smiled and nodded as I continued to scratch myself and pick my nose. "Now, the last order of business to smash the mirror. May I do the honors?" Asked the former ape as he turned to me. "Yep, knock yourself out!" Louis smiled and nodded as he grabbed the mirror and smashed it against the ground.

Once the mirror had smashed, I soon found the final changes take root in my mind. Louie's instincts, mannerisms, and speech-patterns became my own. My memories altered as well as most of my human memories were replaced with that of the ape's. I still possessed most of my human intellect and some of my human memories, but most of my memories were now that of King Louie's. "So, what do you think new form, James?" At first I wasn't paying attention, it was as if I identify with that name at all anymore. I just scratched my butt and thought of ruling my new kingdom. "James? Or should, I say "King Louie"? What do you think of your new form?" I scratched at my head confusing as I looked up at him. "New? Haven't I always been King Louie?" Wait, that's not right. I gave my head a good shake and found myself remembering my human memories once more. "Gotta be careful with that. Your human memories will always be there and your King Louie persona won't permanently take over. However, if you give in to your "Inner Party Animal" then things might get a little crazy! Your Inner Party Animal will withdraw in time, but the situation may get a little hairy in the meantime!" My Inner Party Animal? I was curious as to exactly what that entailed.

After all that, King Louie or rather, "James" left back to the "real" world. I was the new King Louie and as king I would make my first decree: Party all night! I gathered all the monkeys together and we threw an amazing party! After about an hour of partying, I decided to release my inner party animal. Louis advised against it, but I'm sure it would make the night more fun! As the party progressed, my inner party animal started to take control. It was almost like an entirely different me! It felt like a separate consciousness, one that was forcing me out of my own body! In fact, my consciousness was being forced into the lower part of my body. In fact, it felt like my core consciousness was being forced into my rear-end! Within moments, I found my mind inhabiting my own hairy butt! I could barely move, only jiggle around a bit. I was now a pair of hairy butt-cheeks, I was my own rear! My body being controlled by my inner party animal reached down and scratched my hairy butt-cheek face.

It was embarrassing enough being an ape's butt, but now I was being scratched by my own body! The party continued late into the night and I wasn't having a good time at all. As my body danced, I jiggled around uncontrollably like the fat butt I now was. My inner party animal flailed his arms wildly as he had an immensely fun time in my body. After the night was over, my core consciousness once again regained full control of my body. Being a butt was truly an odd experience! It looks like this inner party animal really knows how to party though! All of the monkeys look absolutely tired and beat after that party last night!

I don't recall that party animal thing being in the movie, that alter-ego must have been left out of the film. I wondered if that strange alter-ego would come back, once again forcing me to exist as a body-part. I didn't worry about it too much at the time, after all I had a kingdom to rule! I sat my hairy rump down on my throne and scratched at my butt once more, relieved that I was no longer my own rear. King Louie had given me a great gift, his own body and kingdom. And now, I was going to rule as a benevolent ape-king! I just hoped I could do it without giving into my inner party animal again!
God, I freakin' love Jungle Book. This is a goofy body-swap story I made where I permanently swap bodies with King Louie and become king of the jungle. Then weird party stuff happens. :D Something goofy I made. Also, I've almost hit 100,000 views! Thanks, everyone! :)

What a wonderful story! I really liked it. Personally I'd prefer to swap my body with a huge monster or a dragon. Gorilla or Horse would also be very intersting.
